The Ateneo Chamber Singers, a group of alumni and graduating membersof the Ateneo College Glee Club, will be performing in El Cerrito in October.Formed in 2002 by their conductor, JonathanVelasco, the group started sweeping top prizes in major choral competitions and singing to enraptured judges and audiences inGermany, Italy, Ireland and Spain.The ACS recently   represented thePhilippines in two important choral events: the Polyfollia in Franceand the 38th Tolosa Choral Contest in Spain where they emerged first.

The group will have a concert on Friday, October 10th, at 7 p.m. at StJohn the Baptist Catholic Church at 11150 San Pablo Ave in El Cerrito,California, benefiting charitable institutions and programs: StJohn the Baptist Church for their multimedia projects; CarmeliteMonastery in Angeles City, Pampanga, for the fullrenovation of the building; as well as the Ateneo College Scholarship Foundation.This event is made possible by Korusleine Productions under themanagement of JM Mercado as owner/producer and music director ofKorusleine Vocal Ensemble, the group that emerged in 2004 and garneredseveral recognition awards in the Bay Area.

When the group members decided to pursue their respective professional careers for themeantime, Korusleine Productions was given the opportunity to focus more in organizing events namely the ACS concert benefiting the communities and organizations for a worthy cause.
