NEW YORK- Dulcie Dee is one of the selected 30 Francophile artists at this year's Bastille Festival July 16 – 17 at the Novotel Hotel in Times Square.
Dee will be showing and selling her new collection of handmade paper mache Mardi Gras masks from 12 noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday July 16 on the sky terrace at the Novotel Hotel.
The event will give New Yorkers of all ages and backgrounds the best of the French-speaking world through a broad variety of multicultural exhibitors, musical performances, wine education, culinary presentations, French pétanque, and activities for kids.
“We are very proud to celebrate French culture with New Yorkers in a place as symbolic as Times Square,” said Enrique Gonzalez, founder of the French Culture Nights’ events, organizer of the festival. “Now we can really say that the French have conquered the crossroads of the world!”
Bastille Festival is named after the Parisian prison of La Bastille, whose storming by French
revolutionaries on July 14, 1789 marks the French Independence Day.
