Kathryn, Alden start shooting ‘Hello, Love, Again,’ Pinoys in Canada excited

Kathryn Bernardo, Alden Richards and the cast of ‘Hello, Love, Again’ have started filming in Calgary, Canada.

Reports from Canada showed that Filipino fans literally are mobbing the cast as they shoot and move around the city.

“Tila naging tourist attraction sa Calgary, Canada ang set ng pelikula nina Kathryn Bernardo at Alden Richards para sa kanilang pagbabalik-tambalan sa pelikulang “Hello, Love, Again,” according to one report.

“At sa kanilang pagdating, hindi napigilan ng mga kababayan nating Pilipino na naroon na mag-laan ng kanilang ng oras para masilayan kahit sandali ang kanilang mga idolo,” the report added.

Cathy Reign Jet shared in her  social media post how Filipinos are excited as they see the actors in the set and take photos of Kathryn, Alden and the cast.

Director Cathy Garcia Sampana appealed to the Filipino fans who are mobbing the set.

“Guy, wait lang, ito ang problem. Ang mga taga rito, hindi sanay ng maraming tao. So ngayon, feeling nila nadi-distrup talag ‘yung peace and quiet place nila  so irereklamo ako,” she said.

The director said they are worried with the many people coming to the set, thus creating problems to the area where the shooting is being made..

“When they do that, they will make me stop and make me stop filming and we don’t want that to happen and I know you understand. Wala rin kayong mapapanood na pelikula kapag nangyari ‘yun,” Cathy said.

“Ang totoo dapat paalisin kayo, but i don’t wanna do that. But, we have to meet halfway you cannot stay out on the streets, ito ang location natin kung pwede bang maging tahimik tayong andito sa lugar na ‘to, because these are the only two houses that allowed na mag-stay kayo,” Cathy said.

“We can be quiet and stay. Pero ngayon pa lang, sinasabi ko na sa inyo mamaya pa sila lalabas because I am taking emotional scenes. Kapag pinanood niyo ang pelikulang ‘to kapag ipinalabas you will understand me how difficult the scenes are inside that is why I cannot let them go outside and say hi to you, but I can do that after but quietly, otherwise, they will get mad at us,” she added as ABS-CBN reported.

“Hello, Love, Again,” a sequel of the top-grossing movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye” which was shot in Hong Kong, is scheduled to be shown in theaters in November. The sequesl is a collaboration of ABS-CBN and Star Cinema and the GMA Network and GMA Films.

ABS-CBN said in a report that Kathryn Bernardo got fans even more excited with her latest Instagram post, teasing her character, Joy.

The actress posted a photo of her white sneakers and trousers, her right thumb sporting a ring with a flower. Spotted in the lower part of the photo is a black-and-white strap, which looks like the bag Kathryn’s character always used in “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”

“Joy is here,” Kathryn said in her caption, and added a maple leaf emoji.

Kathryn and Alden Richards arrived in Canada in late July to film the sequel of their 2019 box-office hit, “Hello, Love, Goodbye.” The two have been posting about their time on set, showing their scripts and behind-the-scenes moments.

Alden said in previous interviews that the crew will have a three-week shoot in Calgary. He and Kathryn had planned to have a food trip while they’re there.

In June, Alden, Joross Gamboa, and Jeffrey Tam were in Hong Kong to film the movie. In his post, Joross said, “Joy is where?”, referring to Kathryn’s character.

Hello, Love, Again” will follow the story of Ethan and Joy, two struggling OFWs who met in Hong Kong and fell in love at the wrong time. Five years later, they will meet again in Canada.
