As a book author and columnist of Philippine News Today, I commend and thank  my younger brother Dionisio Gabot Madlaing for donating  eight best-selling Amazon books to  the library of Juan G. Macaraeg National High School (formerly Binalonan  National High School ) in Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines to commemorate his 72nd birthday  held at his residence in San Jose, California last Sunday, June 22, 2025.

“I’m glad and delighted to donate the eight best-selling Amazon  books as a legacy to my alma mater,” said the birthday celebrant.

The donor will personally deliver the eight best-selling Amazon books to his alma mater through the school librarian and principal during his vacation to the Philippines in September, 2025.

The eight best-selling Amazon books  donated include the following: “HISTORICITY OF JESUS”  subtitled “Facts and Evidences for Agnostics, Atheists, Believers and Christians;”  “NO GUTS, NO GLORY;” “REAL ESTATE & YOU”  subtitled  “Your Basic Guide & Information for Successful Investing in Home, Land and Income Property;”  “LONGEVITY TIPS” subtitled “Secrets You Can Discover and Do for Good Health and Longevity;”  “LAUGHTER FOR GOOD HEALTH” subtitled “Humorous Anecdotes and Stories on Cooking, Events, Family, History and Personalities;” “LIFESTYLE FOR LONGEVITY” subtitled  “How to be Healthy Emotionally, Financially, Physically, Sexually and Spiritually;” “ACAPINOY Hymnbook” subtitled  “HEAVENLY HYMNS & GOSPEL SONGS;” “R.A.W. WISDOM” subtitled “FINDING PEACE IN THE MIDST OF CHAOS.”

The eight best-selling Amazon books(all available in Hardcover, Paperback and E-book), authored by Philippine News Today columnist Art Gabot Madlaing, had the front inside page notation as follows: “Donated  to the library of Juan G. Macaraeg National High School (formerly Binalonan National  High School) by DIONISIO GABOT MADLAING, through the school Librarian and Principal.”

Rudy, as fondly called by his siblings and friends, just retired at the Silicon Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California USA.

Rudy’s actual birthday was June 23, 2025 but he decided to celebrate it last Sunday (which was Monday in the Philippines, to mark his 72nd Birthday) to accommodate those who attended the birthday celebration.

Rudy’s 72nd Birthday Dinner and Get-Together was attended by his siblings (Josie Madlaing Lewis, Magdalena Madlaing Sison, Luzviminda Gabot Madlaing, Salvador Gabot Madlaing and yours truly), numerous  nephews, nieces, friends and relatives.

Guests to the 72nd Birthday celebration and Get-Together enjoyed sumptuous lunch comprised of lobsters, adobo, lechon kawali,  fried chicken, egado, kilawen, pansit, pinakbet, grilled bangus, tilapia, fried salmon, various fruits like cherries, strawberry, watermelon, pineapple, apples, etc.

Last year and early this year, some friends also donated similar books to various libraries in the Philippines to support our BOOKS MINISTRY.

CLARITA ACASIO, originally from Baguio City, Philippines and now residing in Danville, California, donated similar books to the Library  of  Heritage Bible College in Baguio City through Jun Fuentes, Director of Heritage Bible College in Baguio City

My beloved wife VIRGINIA JIMENEZ MADLAING , originally from Calasiao, Pangasinan, Philippines,  also donated similar best-selling AMAZON books to the Library of Asian Christian University (ACU) in Bugallon, Pangasinan through Kevin Kim Collado, Academics Dean and Chinese Language Professor at ACU and Atty. Junas T. Sagurit, ACU President.  I was blessed  and fortunate to personally deliver the donated books to the recipients in February this year, during the WE CARE Evangelism Campaign and Workshop in the Philippines.

Last year, JOSE ROBLES, from Daly City, California donated similar best-selling AMAZON books to the Central Elementary School Library located in Baybay, Leyte, Philippines through Marilou Soria, School Principal. He delivered the donated books during his vacation to the Philippines with the inside front-page notation: “Donated to the Central Elementary School Library in Baybay, Leyte, Philippines by JOSE ROBLES, through Marilou Soria, SchoolPrincipal.” This a lasting legacy in his name.
