Bulacan’s Chelsea Manalo, a FilAm, crowned  Miss Universe 2024 

Chelsea Manalo of Bulacan is Miss Universe Philippines 2024!

Manalo, whose father is an Americafn, bested 52 other candidates during the much-awaited coronation night held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 22.

Amid a strong live and online audience which included first Filipino-American Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel of Texas, Manalo was crowned by Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee.

The newly crowned Bulakenya beauty queen will represent the Philippines at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.

Stacey Gabriel of Cainta was crowned first runner-up and Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province was named second runner-up and Miss Cosmo Philippines 2024.

Tarah Valencia of Baguio is third runner-up and Miss Supranational Philippines 2024 while Christi McGarry of Taguig is fourth runner-up.

Alexie Brooks of Iloilo was named Miss Eco International Philippines 2024 while Cyrille Payumo of Pampanga is Miss Charm Philippines 2024.

In the Top 5 question and answer portion, Chelsea Manalo was asked: “You are beautiful and confident, how will you use these qualities to empower others?”

“As a woman of color, I have always faced challenges in my life. I was told that beauty has standards actually. But for me, I have listened and always believed in my mother to always believe in yourself, and uphold the values that you have in yourself,” Manalo said. 

“Because of this, I am already influencing a lot of you facing me right now as a transformational woman. I have here 52 other delegates with me who have helped me be the woman that I am. Thank you,” she added. 

Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, Alden Richards, Jeannie Mai, Gabbi Garcia, and Tim Yap hosted the event.

 Marina Summers, Lola Amour, and Win Metawin entertained pageant fans with their performances during the coronation night.

Those in the Top 10 in the pageant included:

  • Victoria Velasquez Vincent (Bacoor)
  • Cyrille Payumo (Pampanga)

The Top 20 candidates included:
