As an accredited and commissioned Notary Public and founder of Mobile Signing Services (MSS), I commend and thank Ernie Abalos (incumbent Board Chairman and former President of United Pangasinanes of America, Inc.) for arranging, coordinating and scheduling the signing. notarization and apostille follow up of two Special Power of Attorney (one for him and his siblings and one for his sister and children) needed in the Philippines.

Ernie called me last week and requested for assistance and help in the signing, notarization and  apostille follow-up of two SPAs (Special Power of Attorney) involving  eight signatories who are residing in  Elk Grove, San Pablo, Fairfield, Pacifica and Fremont, California.

With common sense and smart move, Ernie arranged and scheduled the signing and notarization of the two SPAs in the home of his sister centrally located in San Pablo, California (near the Hilltop Mall) last Saturday, October 5, 2024 with one time and one location. He even volunteered to pick me up in my home in San Francisco, California, California.

Ernie picked me up last Saturday, October 5, 2024, about 11:30 and drove to the home of his sister in San Pablo, California. We arrived about lunch time so everybody enjoyed the Pot Luck Lunch & Get-Together. After lunch and some preliminaries, I had Ernie and his three siblings signed the two-pages Special Power of Attorney(SPA) drafted by their lawyer in the Philippines. Then, they signed my Journal of Notarial Acts and put their right thumb marks.

The signed SPA authorized their brother  residing in Calasiao, Pangasinan, Philippines to: 1. Negotiate in their behalf the sale of real estate properties commonly owned by their parents (both deceased) located in Doyong, Calasiao, Pangasinan , Philippines; 2. Execute Judicial Sales pertaining to said properties in their behalf.

After the signing of the first SPA, I had Ernie’s sister and her three children signed the two-pages second SPA drafted by their lawyer. Then, they signed my Journal of Notarial Acts and put their right thumb marks.

In the second SPA, the children of Ernie’s sister authorized their mother to: Negotiate in their behalf the sale of the  real properties owned by their late father (deceased) located  in Calamba City, Laguna, Philippines; San Clemente, Tarlac Philippines; Lingayen, Pangasinan, Philippines. 2. Execute Judicial Sales pertaining to said properties in their behalf.

After the signing and notarization of the two SPAs, my beloved wife Virginia Jimenez Madlaing and I drove to Sacramento, California  last Wednesday, October 9, 2024 and submitted the two notarized documents to the Secretary of State, Notary Public Section, for apostille.  We received the apostilled documents later in the afternoon and personally delivered it (2nd SPA) to the home of Ernie’s sister by 5:30 pm.

Ernie picked up the apostilled documents (1st SPA) in our home in San Francisco, California by 9:45 am on Friday, October 11,2024. Ernie, his siblings and sister were happy for the unique, complete, efficient and prompt services with MSS.
