Many people I know have lost their loved ones, those special persons who made their hearts beat a little faster and gave them a reason to live.
When one loses a loved one to death or to another, all one can do is weep and mourn the loss.
Certainly, for some the loss may be so unbearable that they choose to end their lives.
For others, ir is a slow and sad journey to recovery, and possibly, to learn to love again.
It is said that it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
That is easier said than done.
Losing love causes an ache in one’s heart and a void that cannot be filled for a long, long time.
Remembering shared moments with the beloved is a pain that only time can assuage.
I know this, for I have been there.
What can one do , when one has lost one’s love?
One needs to pick up the pieces of one’s broken heart somehow by focusing on other things: work, family, helping the less fortunate.
Losing love is not the end of the world.
The tears will dry up, the pain will be eased, and if God wills it, love will come again
