QUEZON CITY — Vice President Sara Duterte topped the list of preferred presidential candidates in the May 2028 presidential elections if the latest non-commissioned opinion survey taken by Oculum Research and Analytics is to be believed.
According to the survey, Duterte had a 25.4% voter preference, making her the top presidential contender in the survey, GMA News reported.
However, support for her slid significantly compared to the 42% voter preference score she garnered in the first quarter survey.
Senator Rafael Raffy Tulfo ranked second in the latest poll with 18.5%. He was followed by former VP Leonor Leni Robredo at third with 10.6%, Senator Imee Marcos with 5.7%; ex-Manila Mayor Isko Francisco Domagoso Moreno with 4.8%, and ex-Senator Emmanuel Manny Pacquiao with 3.1%.
Senator Risa Hontiveros trailed at seventh with 2.9%, Senator Robinhood Padilla at 2.6%, with House Speaker Martin Romualdez at ninth with 0.8%.
Sen. Tulfo was named the top choice for vice-presidential candidates in the 2028 elections with 20%. He was followed by former President Rodrigo Duterte with 16%; Robredo with 7%; Moreno with 6%; and Hontiveros with 6%.
Senator Christopher Lawrence Bong Go ranked sixth at 5%; Padilla was seventh at 4%; Pacquiao, eighth at 4%, and Marcos at 4%. Romualdez ranked ninth at 1%.
The survey also showed former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III topped the list of Senate candidates for the 2025 national and local elections (NLE) with 56%. ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo was second with 52%; Pacquiao at third with 45%; Moreno at fourth with 45%; and Rodrigo Duterte at 43%.
